Material Resource Centre

Whether you’re part of a school group, youth group, club, Bible Study group, women’s group, office group, or a family group, everyone is welcome at Material Resources Centre located in the MCC Centre in BC. Come and learn about the work that MCC is doing around the world and spend a bit of time working to help others. The following are some examples of what your group could be involved in as volunteers:

  • pack kits – come prepared to pay for the kit supplies that you want to pack
  • load used clothing into a baler for recycling
  • check and fold donated blankets
  • tape pencils together

About

The Material Resource Center located in the MCC Centre has the mission to support the global ministry of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) by communicating both the need and the opportunities to give material resources to those suffering from poverty, oppression, natural disasters and war. The Material Resources provides an opportunity for people to sew blankets, assemble school, health or relief kits or assist in our recycling operations.

Volunteer at the Material Resource Centre

If you would like to be a regular volunteer committing to coming in one morning per week we are especially in need of people who are able or willing to learn to sew using a machine or hand quilt.
